Background

About Us

The Centre of Academic Management (PPA) was first established in UMK on 15 January 2007 under the Registrar's Department. PPA for the first time managed the recruitment of UMK's first group of students for the 2007/2008 Academic Session with a total of 296 students. At the beginning of 2007, PPA was first managed by a Senior Assistant Registrar and an Administrative Assistant (P/O). BPA began to develop as a department that manages undergraduate academic affairs at UMK. Starting from 2014 until now, PPA has been transferred to be under the responsibility of the Office of the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic and International). While starting on 3 October 2021 onwards, PPA is now led by a head of department who is the Academic Director. The list of sections under PPA are as follows:

i. Administration and Roba Management Section

ii. Promotion, Students Record and Data Management Section

iii. Local and International Student Recruitment Section

iv. Scheduling, T&L Space and Academic Advising Section

v. Examination and Graduation Section


As the most important administrative entity at UMK which is responsible for managing student enrollment as our main source of income for the University, PPA has also been entrusted to look after (2) Key Performance Indicators (KPI) of the University under the Office of the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic and International) as follows:

i) iGOT Percentage at the level Bachelor's Degree (OBB);

ii) Student Dropout Percentage at the Bachelor's Degree (OBB) level.
