The Centre of Academic Management is the driving force of the university and is responsible for managing recruitment, admission, registration, record information, examinations, student graduation and convocation as well as other matters related to the services and activities of the university's academic affairs.

In addition to making international student recruitment as the prevalent focus, UMK International also promotes global partnerships between UMK and universities or institutes abroad. Notably, sturdy support is continually extended to students and staff mobility which recurrently upsurge the University’s visibility and international reputation. Numerous flagship programs and in-house initiatives are being continued to strengthen the roles of UMK International and most importantly, to institutionalized internationalisation within UMK continuously.

The Division of Strategic and Administration is responsible for managing the administrative affairs Office of The Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic and International) including human resource management, financial management, governance, quality management and other matters involving the reputation of the office. In addition to administration, BSP was also created to be the part responsible for designing and implementing strategic programs/activities in academic and international aspects including developing strategic action plans, monitoring KPIs, implementing programs/activities aimed at uplifting and increasing the academic and international excellence of the University. BSP also acts as the secretariat for the University Senate Meeting and UMK Convocation Ceremony.
