Introduction

Academic Administration Division is a key pillar to every university. It is responsible for the management and administration of undergraduate academic affairs. This division is also tasked with the important role of being the secretariat to the University Senate, which coordinates the affairs of the University Senate meeting. The University Senate is the highest academic body in the university that governs and sets up policies on academic administration. The Academic Administration Division currently operates through four (4) units namely:

 

  • Senate, Convocation and Administration Unit
  • Examination and Graduation Unit
  • Intake, Admission and Academic Relations Unit
  • Course Registration, Scheduling and Student Records Unit

Due to recent changes in the organisational structure, this division is currently restructured under the Deputy Vice Chancellor’s (International and Academic Affairs) Office.

 

Universiti Malaysia Kelantan’s (UMK) academic administration division is responsible for the management of undergraduate academic affairs. Key responsibilities held are as follows:

  • Student intake and admission
  • Student enrolment
  • Course registration
  • Lecture timetable organisation
  • Student records
  • Examination and graduation affairs
  • Academic relations
  • Convocation
  • Secretariat to the University Senate
  • Other affairs related to academic administration in UMK
